Today starts a 2 week holiday

Today we walked as far as the Chesterhope Bridge and back http://www.hastingsdc.govt.nz/activehb/walks/rotary_hohepa.pdf. Next week we do the last bit. It doesnt look long but we shall see.

a quiet day

This morning I had to clean my pantry ants had come for a visit

Took Our Home Schooler to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. Iit had an abscess on it. Anaesthetic doesnt seem to help my poor boy. He was in a lot of pain. He was very upset.

As I was in there I got attack of the guilts. Why do we allow our children to undergo pain? Sure he said it was sore on Saturday and needed pain killer. But he hadnt said anything since. Yet I made him go to the dentist. I keep telling myself it would have gotten bad again but I have a strong voice telling me how mean I am.

At the time of writing this he is ok again. Mr Wonderful is wonderful and helped look after him.

This morning I went and fill out a form at church (another police check since I work with the toddlers sometimes). While I was there the office lady got a phone call and after she got off I gave her a hug. She was very grateful for it. Apparently a man from church who was only 40 had a heart attack and died. So young.

Ive felt tired all day today. My peace has been broken too. Muzz brought himself a keyboard. Im sure once he learns to play it it will be nice. I may even have a go myself.

ANZAC DAY 2008

This morning My home schooler and I got up at the crack of dawn and went to take part in the Sea scouts parade for ANZAC day. It sure is getting colder. It was fine though so that was good. Afterwards we went to the Returned Services Association and had a coffee with a nip of rum in it – yum!!! and a bite to eat. While the service was taking part I thought of my grandfather on my mothers side. He fought in WW2. My other grandfather on my fathers side was a farmer so he didnt have to go to war. My maternal grandfather died when I was about 10. I kinda remember him. He seemed like a nice man to me. I remember before he died he was living in this little house (only a couple of rooms which at the time seemed very strange to me) on a piece of farm land. He had a bad limp probably a war accident.

After we got home I cleaned up the house, did the recycling, washed and hang out some washing.

Vacuumed the house and sorted though My Home Schoolers clothes to see what still fits and what doesnt

was suppose to get 2 new tyres for my car today but the guy said it would take an hour and a half so we rebooked for Monday

This afternoon My Home Schoolers friend (Colin) came over for a sleep over. We watched this movie tonight.

Last night Our Little Man cried and cried he was so sad he wanted to sleep in Our Home Schoolers room with the big boys. He is besotted with Colin. Eventually he fell asleep.

This morning the boys woke at 6am!!! I am going to get breakfast in bed. Colin’s idea – what a sweet kid. I told them they could watch a dvd until a bit later though LOL

Our Little Man helped clean up afterwards and he came up with a way to be at the right height.

Church Our Little Man wanted to stay with Colin so we went with the older children to Sunday School they did some science experiments to look at how the Holy Spirit is invisible but powerful. A good and interesting morning. Colin is going to stay another night.
