Week in Review

Feeling a bit better today. I must admit reading was interesting this morning during home schooling

after home schooling this afternoon I cleaned and vacuumed the house I dont like living in a mess

I also tidied my desk, reorganized the linen cupboard and watered the indoor plants

at lunchtime we took advantage of this giveaway

we got some vouchers from ZM for some more

after school I got the price of postage for some records My Home Schooler is selling on Trademe and went to the recycling centre to drop off our recycles

also hang some washing on the clothes line

today there was a home schooling trip I was blown away by how good it was

I had heard how good they were but had never seen them myself

They were great!!!!

Also one of the homeschooling mums whose recently had a baby boy awwwwwwwwww so adorable

Went grocery shopping tonight while my home schooler was at sea scouts

I do like going grocery shopping by myself

Had to go and see social welfare today and had to wait 45 minutes to see them. We had been booked in. It wasnt until I asked when we were going to be seen that we finally were.

this afternoon went to a home schooling resource sale

The Sonic game is what My Home Schooler brought to play with

I brought the thread beads in the containers for Our Little Man

Church was a lot of fun today we were celebrating our church ’s birthday and it was pentacost

the service had a lot of youth group in put

we had a bubble machine which lots of enjoyed or at least liked watching the children enjoying it and there were balloons too

Its also Mothers Day and I was blessed

I got a “medal,” a purse, a pet rock and a gift bag from the youth group containing a bookmark(explaining what the gifts were all about, it also had proverbs 31:30 on it), a shell (to remind us to take time to appreciate creation), a tea light candle (to remind us to take time out for ourselves)and a lolly just because we are special

This week has been sad for me in a lot of ways

Day Twenty-eight: 30 day husband/partner encouragement challenge

“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” Prov.

15:33

Sometimes, when we just “know” we are right and our husbands are wrong, it takes

great humility to honor them. It is difficult to speak well of our husbands when our own

hearts are puffed up with pride.

As part of your Encouragement Challenge today, pray that you will respond to the Lord

in faith and humility before you react to your husband. Speak wisely and well, and leave

the results to God.

The humility that comes from a right relationship with God – the humility that comes

when a man is willing to listen to God and be taught from His Word – is indeed a

beautiful quality. Jesus was an example of this kind of humility when he was willing to

submit to His Father’s will (John 6:38; Matt. 26:39).

Does your husband have that kind of humility? Is he willing to learn from and submit to

direction from the Lord? Let your husband know how precious this is to your marriage

relationship.
