Pondering Exercise

Filed under: My Thoughts — by my3boysandi @ 7:34 am

A commenter left an interesting comment on this weeks Week in Review. I told her that “I think my energy actually comes from getting out there and just doing it”

This got me thinking

and

I found this interesting article. Ive summarized it. If your interested you can read all the article here

“Increase Your Energy Levels with Exercise

Now this might sound like a contradiction — increase your energy by exercising?! But by simply intrducing some simple exercise in to your lifestyle, you’ll find yourself with more energy and vitality … and fitter!

One of the best ways to build up your energy is to exercise. If you exercise regularly then you will find that your energy levels will get much better and you will be able to do a lot more.

Even a small amount of exercise can give you a real boost and can make it much easier for you to exercise more in the future.

Simple start to your energy boosting regime … walking more …

One of the best ways to start exercising to increase your energy levels is through walking. Although it may not sound like exercise in itself. Walking is in fact an extremely efficient, low impact, form of aerobic exercise.” (Vic Carrara)

YEAH lets it for my preferred form of exercise

“walking in itself can help greatly in increasing your energy levels.

if you want to try something a little different to improve your energy levels there is no shortage of things to do.

Doing exercise is a great way to improve your energy levels.”(Vic Carrara)

I also found these quotes

“Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person’s physical, emotional, and mental states.” ~Carol Welch

“Exercise is done against one’s wishes and maintained only because the alternative is worse” George Sheehan quotes (American physician, author and running enthusiast, 1918 – 1993)

NB I wasnt always into exercise.

  1. I couldn’t agree more. Exercise is vital to the the body as well as the mind.

I just need to find the right time to the aerobics. I keep doing them rather sporadically.

    Great post!

  6. Hi there Jen – sorry I haven’t been by lately. My computer is in the shop so I’ve been using Mike’s and my favorites aren’t on here. Makes me realize I need to update my blog sites on my webpage 🙂

My ancestors on my Dad’s side came from Norway – but I think it was at least 5 generations ago.

  9. good point! I wish I have the will power to do an exercise at least 30min. a day but I am too lazy! I used to go on Pilates classes but ever since I pulled out from YMCA, I no longer have an exercise schedule! tsk…tsk…tsk…I know the reason for my laziness sometimes is not enough energy due to lack of exercise!

Btw, I have a tag for you!

  12. I have a great workout DVD by Denise Austin. It allows you to choose the exercises or to choose three already set up for you. So, there is a lot of variety.

  13. Great tips! I know stretching seems to give me more energy, something about deep breathing and that wonderful PULL!

However, moving more and eating less is about as simple as it gets, and I do need to live by that rule!
