Week in Review

Mr Wonderful took Our Little Man out with him today. So it was lovely and peaceful for Our Home Schooler and I to do home schooling. In the middle of the afternoon we went for a walk which was nice but i got blisters

today my blisters have been weeping and itchy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we set up play group in record time this morning – we were running late

Our Little Man made a wonderful fish picture which is now proudly displayed in his room

we were late for playgroup because someone wouldnt take his daddies shoes off

This is where Our Little Man fell asleep this afternoon
Moments later we decided he should be taken to his bed when this is how I found them

Kids Do Sleep In The Weirdest Places

I don’t know whats worst when my toe hurts so much I’m hobbing around or when its itching so bad it drives me crazy. My toe seems to be alternating between the two. I do know what woke me this morning at 5.30. The infernal itching!! I would have read my book only I couldn’t find my torch. Since Our Little Man co-sleeps I use a torch to read if I wake up in the middle of the night. So I got up and here I am πŸ™‚

Today was a hard day Our Little Man was into everything and I was trying to teach Our Home schooler. Im looking forward to his 3rd birthday in November I am planning on putting him into 20 hours free in daycare.

Then about 2.30pm Mr Wonderfuls mum crying I didnt even recognize her to start with. Their dog has been sick for a while and she decided today was too much for Mitzi. We rushed over and Mr Wonderful and his dad took her to the vet to be put to sleep. The boys and I started with Mr Wonderfuls mum. So very sad.

Although Mr Wonderful had to go out to work today. Today was a better day with Our Little Man. My Home schooler and I decided if we blocked off the kitchen it was one less place he could mess.
Our Little Man also decided to dress himself today – this is a tshirt

Went on a feidl trip this morning then in the afternoon I took My Home schooler and his home schooling friend swimming. I read and ate chippies while they swam. He stayed to dinner too.

This morning I did housework and got rid of the recycles

while I did this the boys played tent in the lounge

This afternoon I was inspired to try this…

after reading Jana’s blog
I guess Im hungry but happy and I think there must be a child still lurking within me. A nice relaxing activity on a rainy afternoon

Went to church but not for long. I have caught Our Little Mans cold. My face is SORE!!! I was standing in church feeling like a zombie. So I left and came home and had an inhalation. Had to have another one at lunch time and dinner time.Β  Also took pandol regularly.

my boys this week

  1. They sleep in some weird positions and strange places, don’t they? πŸ˜‰

I was just noticing how much your boys have grown, even just since the picture in your header was taken! Before long your little man will be school age and you’ll be deciding whether to put him in public school or home school him yourself.

Sounds like you’ve been doing quite a bit of cleaning and tidying yourself. Good for you, Jen!

Have a great new week, and hope your blisters are all better now.

    Love and hugs,

  3. i remember when i had little people and i felt i needed to spend special time doing “school” with the big kids i used to wait until the littlies fell asleep and then we’d ZIP through stuff.
it’s hard when the littlies are so busy busy, but it’s such fun!!!!!

  4. awww your little one is so cute! How is your home schooler doing with his learning at home now compared to when he was at school? Hey did you know you can buy calendula cream from your local chemist? Its great for healing up things like blisters etc…

  8. Your little one is so cute sleeping snuggled against his daddy’s back. Probably pretty uncomfortable for Daddy, though! If kids only knew what their parents did for them — which I guess they will when they have their own.

Do you have any anti-itch cream? Hopefully that’s all better now. Hope your cold goes away soon.

I was thinking of some ways your little one might occupy himself while you’re teaching your older one. Do they have workbooks in stores there? Here they have them from preschool on up just in grocery stores or discount stores, everything from matching colors or putting a little doggie sticker on pages, etc. I was thinking, if he was interested in that kind of thing, maybe you could portray it like that’s his “school work” that he could do while his brother does his school work. My kids used to love those and wanted to do the whole book at once, but maybe you could have him do a page or two a day. Another idea would be to make up a basket or box of toys that you keep put away out of his reach that he could only have during school time — maybe the novelty of them would keep him occupied for a while during school.

So sorry about the loss of your in-law’s dog. I know ours is showing signs of aging — it will be sad when it is her time.
