Prayer Request

When I lived in Auckland I attended a church there

I have lost touch with most of the people there since living here in the Bay

The other day I was thinking about trying to see what was going on with some certain missionaries that I use to know so I went on to the church’s website.

I was very dismayed to find that another missionary couple had had some terrible news on the website

I spent the last couple of days trying to find out what was going on with my old friends

Kindly enough I was able to get in touch with a mutual friend and he filled in the gaps

They had been missionaries in Egypt for a year or so.  The husband whom we will call Matthew had been in a car accident.  He was flown home about 2 months ago.  His wife and young daughters have just been home 2 weeks.

Matthew is facing life as a paraplegic. He, however has a little feeling in his thighs and his toes have pins and needles.  So we are praying for a better out come than life in a wheelchair.

The most tragic part as far as I see it is that Matthew use to be an excellent runner.  I dont know whether he will ever be able to do this again

Please join me in praying for Matthew and his family.  There is little else on my mind right now.
