  1. Hi, Jen. I for one LOVE the video update. I really liked getting to see and hear you as you talked about your week in review. 🙂

Sorry you have sore eyes again and hope it clears up soon without another visit to the doctor.

I’m glad you decided to stay with your prescription antidepressants rather than the St. John’s Wort. I’ve heard some alarming things about it and I was a bit worried about the effects it might have on you.

Good luck getting your Apple notebook. I just got my first laptop and I love it! Mine’s a HP Windows Vista Home Premium. I do like the way the files are set up better on Windows XP but I can deal with the Vista operating system. I still have my old desktop as a backup if needed.

I also got a wireless system for the laptop and I’m blogging from my recliner in the living room. I love that I’m not chained to the desktop anymore!

Have a great new week, Jen. 🙂

    Love and hugs,

    Diane

  2. Hi Jen,

I LOOOOVE it! I love hearing and seeing you. I’ll try to imitate your accent before too long:)

I have a Mac and it is the best thing ever. I got it for Mother’s Day this year and it was a fantastic present. The camera is built in and it is so easy to use. I am a bit spoiled though. I am sure you have figured that out by now.

About the St.John’s Wort, DON’T MIX THEM! I had a friend (my pastor actually) who actually had bleeding on the brain from taking St. John’s Wort and some other medications together. They doctors had to actually do surgery and drain the blood off his brain. Very scary. It was life threatening.

As for the vlogging, I want more, more, more…

  4. I enjoyed hearing your accent!!

I am glad you stayed with the anti-depressants. I know some people that use St. John’s Wort successfully, but I have read some scary things about it — plus with a lot of those medicines you have to be careful about how you come off them. Best to be under a dr.’s care to try that. I think.

Maybe it would be good to go back to the dr. for your eyes — I have known so many people to lose eyesight because they waited to deal with problems that that’s one ailment I would see a dr. about right away.

  5. What a great idea, Jen. How nice to hear your voice and “see” you. I wonder why it never occurred to me that you might have an accent. LOL

Wow. Diane got a new laptop? I didn’t know that!

  6. Love your accent, Jen. Also, glad you are at peace with your antidepressants’ decision.

You’re right–we’re always harder on ourselves than others are.

I liked your video review. I also like the written ones. I hope your eyes feel better, soon. xxooogretchen

  7. What a great idea, you can fit so much stuff in a 5 minute video. And I’m a list girl too lol, I’d be lost without them!

  9. I enjoyed your video presentation! It was really neat to hear you speak too. Sounds like you had a busy and productive week. Will the homeschooler be working on a certain drama production or will it be more just basics and small skits in class?

  10. LOVE the video! It was fun to see a “real-life” you and to notice how much of your personality comes through in your writing. I liked this venue very much and look forward to seeing another video week in review.
