Week In Review

My Home Schooler started going to Annes twice a week this week. While he was there I took Our Little Man to kindy for an hour. He doesnt start till the 18th but they are very keen for him to come and visit lots before hand. He was so busy busy busy in this hour.

He also learnt how to use a vice. He didnt want to join in the music or story time nor have afternoon tea. The head teacher said hed get use to it all and join in soon.
I picked My Home Schooler up after this and took him to his run. It was his last day doing two paper runs too. His home schooling friend is home again. From now on I will call him Colin and his mum Tina. !5 minutes after leaving the kindy Our Little Man was asleep in the car. My Home Schooler reckoned if he was only there an hour and had already fallen asleep what he be like he starts going for 2.5 hours 3 times a week.
Went over to Tinas house to drop off some stuff for the paper run that Colin will take on again tomorrow afternoon. Spent a bit of time talking home schooling stuff. Im so happy they are home again. I missed them.
Mr Wonderful cooked dinner – bless him. It was already when we got home.
Got an award tonight

Playgroup in the morning. Kindy in the afternoon and Mr Wonderful came for a while too 🙂 We had one very tired boy in the evening. Who fought going to sleep even though thats what he really needed to do. He eventually feel asleep at 8pm

An extremely sad day. I cried heaps and heaps. She was more than a person that I blogged with. She was a precious friend. I dont know if any one who doesnt blog truly understands how close we can get to our bloggy friends.
In the afternoon I went for a ride to the shops with Mr Wonderful and Our Little Man it was ok. However, I was down the whole day.
taglogonew.jpg
Home schooled today in my PJs. Felt slack and blue. I have the flu and a sore chest. Feel guilty about our quality of home schooling this week. I am still very sad about Dari – didnt cry today though. Mr Wonderful sent me to bed before dinner which he brought for us. Had several inhalations.

Not feeling much better. Feel better being up rather than lying down. My chest and my breathing seem better sitting up and being up rather than lying down.

Colin came over and the boys went to youth group

I went grocery shopping and I might do this on a Friday night from now on. After it I went across the road and went to McDs for a hot chocolate and chocolate cake.

Then I picked up the boys. Colin stayed the night.

saturday.jpg

Rearranged the house. Mr Wonderful and I decided it was time for Our Little Man to share a room with his brother.

Our room just for us 🙂 hopefully

We made a big thing this morning about the fact that this would be the big boys room and that big boys who are brothers sleep in the same room

A new look for the lounge/my office come new school room

This also means I can set My Home Schooler work and keep an eye better on him thats he doing it and not mucking around

Also went to the library

Also cleaned up the house as I do on a Saturday.

A busy and productive day.

Our Little man took a while to settle down in his bed in the boys bedroom tonight. Im praying it will get better.

lazy-sunday-link-logothumbnail.jpg

Our Little Man woke up once in the night. i took back to bed he eventually feel asleep after 1/2 an hour. Not bad for his first night not cosleeping. His daddy who use to be opposed to cosleeping missed sleeping with him.

Mr Wonderful fixed our microwave 🙂 Clever man that he is decided it was a blown fuse 🙂

got rid of the recycles today and picked up a few things Id forgotten on Friday when I went grocery shopping

A quiet day did some lesson planning for home schooling

Tonight Our Little Man fell asleep on the couch so I put a night nappy on him and put him into his bed so a real easy night tonight so long as he doesnt wake up later

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?

Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?
Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?

Our Little Man is interested in bandages ever since he was a patient for his daddy for the 21st birthday party we went to

Took Our Little to the doctors today. He has a slight eye infection.

home schooled

Mr Wonderful took Our Little Man back to his dads till Wednesday

met My Home Schooler and we did his permanent paper run – he doesnt like it – maybe because he had already done the relieving run too – maybe because its new

I LOVED it felt pumped when I got home – good exercise

tuesday-1.jpg

while Im enjoying My Home Schoolers paper run Im not enjoying his attitude I think he is finding 2 runs too much but I have told him I could do it for him and he doesnt want me too

He doesnt me to get paid for it

The boys (Mr Wonderful and Our Little Man) came home today
An hour before I was meant to meet My Home Schooler for his run Dee came over which was nice. Cut her sons hair.
Today the paper run was so much better. I grabbed some mandarins on my way out the door and gave them peeled to My Home Schooler along the way. It worked he was so much nicer to me.
taglogonew.jpg
Spent some time after home schooling today singing praises to God. I enjoy singing. We had finished today on a bible theme you may visit if you would like.
paper run Im getting fit and My Home Schooler is getting familiar with the new run

Im a soppy old thing. We have been reading through the Little House on The Prairie books. We are up to On the Banks of Plum Creek. Grasshoppers had come and eaten all the wheat. The wheat that the Ingalls were depending on. They lost everything. As I read it to My Home Schooler I cried. My Home Schooler hugged me, Our Little Man gave me some of the mandarins he had been eating. I finished the chapter. My Home Schooler went to do some of his writing (his idea). He is a good creative writer and Mr Wonderful (whom Im not sure realized what had happened) gave me a cup of coffee. Bless my 3 boys.

saturday.jpg

We decided some days ago that I would do My Home Schoolers run on a Saturday morning and be paid for it. He is still doing the relieving job and we knew he wouldnt be able to do both by 8am. So up we both got up at 6.30 am. 15 minutes later I headed off to do one and My Home Schooler headed off to do the other. It was a bit windy and my eyes and nose watered but all was good. I watched a lady delivering pamphlets to the same roads I was delivering too. I probably was watching her more than I realized as I wondered whether I had forgotten to deliver one of the papers to a distinctive house that makes you notice it. I got to the end of that road and doubled back. I had delivered it. I got home 10 minutes before My Home Schooler and made our traditional Sunday morning breakfast. Yes its Saturday My Home Schooler requested I make it today and I can tell you I had built up an appetite too.

After breakfast and a little time on the computer I clean the house.

This afternoon I filed My Home Schoolers work for the last 2 terms before that it was just in boxes

Tonight we watched 2 dvds and ate chips and popcorn an enjoyable evening

lazy-sunday-link-logothumbnail.jpg

I went to a church at the same place where the play group we go to is held. I know some of the people there. I met with a dear friend there and it was nice sitting beside her in church. I was also greeted with a big hug from the pastor. He is married to the lady I run play group with. What a wonderful welcome. I use to go to this church when I first came to the Bay and I think I will be going back when Im not doing creche or My Home Schooler doesnt have communion to help with at our usual church. I can ride my bike or walk to the playgroup/church easily. It was a beautiful day for walking too. Dee popped in first thing this morning and gave My Home Schooler a cell phone she doesnt need anymore. So she gave me a lift there.

I have also been prompted to read John and Peters gospels.

Song for the Weekend

There is a redeemer,
Jesus, gods own son,
Precious lamb of god, messiah,
Holy one,

Jesus my redeemer,
Name above all names,
Precious lamb of god, messiah,
Oh, for sinners slain.

Thank you oh my father,
For giving us your son,
And leaving your spirit,
til the work on earth is done.

When I stand in glory,
I will see his face,
And there Ill serve my king forever,
In that holy place.

Thank you oh my father,
For giving us your son,
And leaving your spirit,
til the work on earth is done.

There is a redeemer,
Jesus, gods own son,
Precious lamb of god, messiah,
Holy one,

Thank you oh my father,
For giving us your son,
And leaving your spirit,
til the work on earth is done.

And leaving your spirit,
till the work on earth is done.

Song for the Weekend

Tomorrow morning if you wake
up and the sun does not appear
I will be here
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
‘Cause I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin’
Through the winning, losing and trying
We’ll be together
I will be here

Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here
Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here

I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we’re older
I will hold you
And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here

I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me

Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I will be here
Oh, I will be here

today was an interesting day

Wanna know what my boys are looking at visit our home schooling blog

Our Little Man fell asleep straight after dinner so Mr Wonderful and I spent some time watching TV together 🙂

tuesday-1.jpg

I walked to and home again from play group today took half an hour each way. I am low on petrol and cant afford to get more. Nice day so it was quite nice. My Home Schooler rode his bike.

Had a good home schooling day today feel like we achieved some good learning today
taglogonew.jpg
The boys and I took my home schoolers bike into the bike shop to get fixed today
When I got home from dropping the bike off I told my home schooler that I can see the day where i wont be using my car much anymore. That and the price of food is sky rocketing!!!

I can see the day when we will have to consider having to start going to a church that closer before too long which will be so so sad.

I already walked to playgroup this week and am considering walking to swimming tomorrow.
Although I went grocery shopping tonight Mr Wonderful and I did spend 1/2 an hour together watching TV

walked to swimming and took a home schooling friend of My Home schoolers with us. Took half an hour each way. After we got back from swimming went and opened a bank account for My Home Schooler for when he gets his paper run at the end of the month. Youth group I stayed to save petrol it was movie night and we watched Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium it was good and I think we have to get it out ourselves so Our Little Man can watch it too.

saturday.jpg

My home schooler went out with Mr Wonderful today. They are working. Hope My Home schooler is behaving this a rare treat that could maybe repeated if he behaves.

Blogged and cleaned the house.

Helped a friend of my next door neighbour set up an account with Trademe (over the phone). Felt good helping him. Got a taste for some of the work Mr Wonderful does – helping people with some of their computer problems.

lazy-sunday-link-logothumbnail.jpg

Walked to church and back again today. Almost an hour each way. Id do it again even though I was sore for a while afterwards. The people were lovely. Just 15 people counting us. My Little Man put the candles out at the end with the help of the vicar. Hes never done that before. This church is circa 121 years old. It reminded me of the church that the Ingalls might have attended. (Mind you with further research I found they might have actually attended a slightly larger church). A service is only held there twice a month. It would safe me some petrol – even if I drove the car.

This afternoon we had 3 visitors. First some friends from playgroup came over. Then one of Mr Wonderfuls grown up niece came over. It was so nice seeing them all.

Tonight I showed Our Little Man the stars in the sky. He was so cute. He wanted to touch them.

a bloggie friend asked a really good question

and I thought Id share my findings out with you

she said she was paying $4 a gallon for gasoline

petrol costs $2 a litre here
1 gallon = 4 litres
and 1.00 USD = 1.33260 NZD
therefore we are paying double what you guys in America are

Im still in shock and we are spending more for food now too
